Project manager for the BCIA award winning A650 Bingley relief road scheme, Charly Clark, has been named ICE Civil Engineering Manager of the Year. Clark (right) claimed his medal and £5,000 cash prize from ICE president Colin Clinton last week.

Runners up - Farrans project manager David Parr, BAA Terminal 5 project leader Philip Wilbraham and Taylor Woodrow projects director Graham Stanley - all received certificates and £1,000 cash prizes. Clark was commended for setting and meeting early completion targets on Amec's A650 project. 'We were always in the spotlight - which meant we couldn't step out of line, ' he said.
