Ties between ICES) and the ICE have been strengthened

IVE news

Ties between the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) and the ICE have been strengthened after the presidents of both bodies signed a memorandum of agreement on joint membership arrangements.

Closer collaboration between the two institutions will include equal representation on a joint geospatial engineering board and at least one ICES member on advisory panels for arbitration and conciliation and adjudication, for legal affairs, the New Engineering Contract panel and on the Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement committee. The ICE will nominate up to two members to the ICES commercial management practices committee. Members will also be able to share headquarters facilities. The ICES is an associated institution of the ICE and members of each institution can apply for membership of the other, subject to conditions.
