Those were the facts

In response to comments made by Doug Ayres (Letters, GE February 05) I can confirm that I reported the facts (Railways - appropriate technology, GE January 05) based upon my 12 years experience, as well as those supplied by both Network Rail HQ and my former colleagues in Great Western Territory.

The facts speak for themselves. The railway industry's experience on embankment grouting also reflects those reported by London Underground and British Waterways, see Ciria Report C550 Infrastructure embankments: Condition appraisal and remedial treatment.
