The pounds 36M Inverness scheme

The pounds 36M Inverness scheme replaces three short outfalls discharging preliminary treated sewage into the Moray Firth, with a new 1200m sea outfall near its mouth. Most of the 15km of pipeline is now in place; construction of a full treatment 500l/s capacity sewage works at Allanfearn is 70% complete, and the scheme should be operational by December 1999.

Fort William's pounds 9M scheme replaces two small primary treatment works with a new 113l/s capacity full treatment plant and single 670m outfall into Loch Linnhe. Commissioning has just started and full operation is expected by December.
