The girls done good

The final drive on the 20km, £43M London Connection cable tunnel for the National Grid has been completed by J Murphy and Sons. Lovat TBM 'Caroline', one of three TBMs on the project, broke through at Canons Corner after an 8km drive from Cricklewood. 'Doris' drove 6km from Elstree to Canons Corner while 'Helen' drove 6km from Cricklewood to St John's Wood. The 3m diameter tunnel will carry 400kV cables.
