The Gallery | Concrete poured for Scottish wind farm

Concrete producer Hope Construction Materials has supplied 12,000m³ of ready-mixed concrete to a Scottish wind farm project.

The Aikengall II Community Wind Farm, being built by renewable energy specialists Community Windpower, will have 19 turbines, each 145m tall.

The concrete was delivered using 17 mixer trucks over a two-month period.

Set to be commissioned in August 2016, the wind farm will generate 68MW of energy, supplying electricity to more than 42,000 local homes, and displacing about 77,000t of carbon dioxide each year.
