The Gallery | Arup's proposed home for AC Milan

Arup has released images of a proposed football stadium in central Milan.

The engineering and design consultancy has worked on the plan with famous football club AC Milan.

The club is looking to move away from the huge but ageing San Siro base it has shared with city rivals Inter for decades.

Arup’s more modern venue would include a hotel, a sports college, restaurants, a children’s playground, green areas and other public spaces.

Arup has used a parametric tool to analyse and design sight lines that give the best possible view from each seat in the stadium.

A moveable roof is proposed to mitigate noise in the surrounding area.
