The Gallery and Video | Points renewal at Waterloo Station

Network Rail has released this timelapse video showing track replacement work taking place over the bank holiday weekend.

Ongoing works to improve Britain’s busiest railway station, London Waterloo, took place over the bank holiday.

Platforms 1 to 13 at the station were closed from the early hours of Sunday 3 May to late Monday night so extensive track replacement could be carried out.

This timelapse video shows the replacement of points immediately oustide the station. The points allow trains to cross between different lines and will help to improve the reliability of train services into and out of the station.
