The Department for Transport

The Department for Transport has announced £185,000 in funding for 17 projects to improve road safety in the UK. The chosen schemes are particularly aimed at cutting child casualties. By 2010 the Government hopes to have reduced road deaths and serious injuries by 40% overall and by 50% for children.
