The CPD Gorgon rears it's ugly head again

I agree that continuing professional development (CPD) is an essential element of keeping up to date and, better still, if its programme is properly structured. But your comment that Civils 2007 is 'free CPD' does not apply if you live north of the border.
With an overnight stay the cost is potentially a few hundred pounds. London as a conference and seminar venue dominates the fly sheets.

NCE's latest "forthcoming conferences" lists eight with a range of topics, but they are all based in London. This bias needs to be addressed.
