The award

ICE's Civil Engineering Manager of the Year Award is presented annually to recognise a chartered civil engineer who has demonstrated the finest management qualities in a current project.

An impressive gold plated medal and pounds 500 goes to the winner. Sponsors of the award are John Laing Construction and the ICE. The Institute of Management and New Civil Engineer are co-sponsors. Four finalists were interviewed on Tuesday last week by a judging panel chaired by ICE vice president David Cawthra and including last year's winner Stephen Tarr.
