Video | Timelapse of £80M rail depot construction

Timelapse footage of the construction of Hitachi Rail Europe’s new £80M Doncaster depot has been released.

The depot was designed and built by VolkerFitzpatrick and started in 2014. It took two years and eight months to construct and more than 2,000 worked on the project.

VolkerRail supplied and installed all the overhead line equipment for the project and VolkerGround Engineering worked on the piling for the lines, as well as the sheet piling for two retaining walls.
