Four civils firms picked for £150M M25 deal

M25 2by3

Skanska, Osborne, Jackson Civil Engineering and R&W Civil Engineering have won a £150M four year maintenance deal for the M25.

The deal was awarded by Connect Plus, the body appointed by Highways England under a design, build, finance and operate contract (DBFO) to manage and maintain the M25 over a 30 year period. The parent companies of Connect Plus are Balfour Beatty, Atkins and Egis Road Operation.

The contact is a framework agreement which will range in value over the full duration of the agreement from £50M up to £150M.

The four firms on the framework will act as principal contractor.

Work could cover realignment and widening of carriageways, strengthening works, bridge replacement and construction and ground engineering works.
