Team effort

Your article on the work being done at Cross London Rail Links to deliver the Crossrail Bill and achieve the start of construction didn't emphasis the sterling work that took place before I joined the project late last year (NCE 9 November).

Norman Haste and Keith Berryman assembled a highquality team who worked tirelessly to prepare the ground for the complex Bill submission work currently in hand. Without their dedication we could not have delivered the draft Bill to Parliament in early 2005.

Keith now leads a first-rate Bill team that has helped to ensure that the select committee can move efciently through its deliberations.

Crossrail is an exciting project that will deliver great things for London and the country as a while. NCE's article was a credit to what has been achieved to date, but please don't forget that it is the result of a highly professional team effort.
