Taunton sider


With regard to David Hooper's letter on the dualling of the A303 (NCE last week), I can only assume that he is commenting purely from the perspective of a resident of Taunton.

I can see that having two large trunk roads to the town would be attractive from such a perspective. For the rest of us the Honiton route is much preferred particularly as it is a shorter route.

I cannot agree with his view that local businesses support his view unless he is again talking about Taunton businesses. I have seen several local newspaper articles that indicate the opposite.
