Talk in high places

The ICE West Midlands annual dinner this year moved to the prestigious surroundings of Birmingham's International Convention Centre, where 500 guests enjoyed good food, drink and a chance to catch up.

Special guest, former BBC political correspondent John Sergeant (on the left of the picture with ICE West Midlands chairman Len Threadgold) spoke of his many experiences with prime ministers and presidents over the course of a distinguished broadcasting career.

A charity collection in aid of RedR took place on the night, raising over Ł4,000.

Bookings are already being taken for the 2009 dinner. Details are available from Steve Morgan on 01782 232138, e-mail steven.morgan@stoke.gov.uk
