Taking the fee

Letters

I was surprised to find that my membership fee for 2001 has more than doubled from £14 to £30. When I received the form I thought there was some mistake and phoned the ICE office only to find that this had been changed by the membership committee. There are no new additional benefits.

I have been a member for 47 years and I would have thought the Institution would have considered members like myself before changing the fee.

I never use the ICE's facilities as I only infrequently come to London and continue my membership for purely sentimental reasons.
