Take your places for Teambuild

ICE news

ENGINEERS are constantly being told that good teamwork lies at the heart of a successful construction project. The ability to communicate well with architects, services engineers, surveyors and builders is an invaluable lesson to learn.

Teambuild is an annual event geared to bringing together young construction industry professionals and encouraging them to work on these skills.

The weekend-long event involves multidisciplinary teams going through the process of developing a site, from masterplanning to construction. Up to £1,500 is on offer for the best performing team.

Conceived by the ICE structural and building board, Teambuild is now in its 12th year and is looking to recruit teams for the next event this November.

The event is endorsed by the ICE for continuing professional development and accounts for four days of CPD.

Teams of up to six people aged under 30 and registered with the ICE or any other professional institution are invited to take part. The entry fee per team is £995 and includes meals and accommodation.

Teambuild takes place in Loughborough between 19-21 November. To register, contact ICE Conferences on 020 7665 2310 or visit www. teambuilduk. com. The closing date for entries is 24 September.
