Sweett wins three nuclear contracts

Consultant Sweett has won three nuclear contracts, including providing commercial services for energy giant EdF’s £10bn new nuclear plant at Hinkley Point, the consultant announced yesterday.

Sweett will work with consultant Faithful+Gould as part of a two and a half year framework contract to support construction of the new nuclear power station.

In addition, Babcock has awarded Sweett a three-year framework contract to provide quantity surveying and commercial services its nuclear decommissioning projects, including Sellafield and Berkeley.

Sweett will also provide cost estimating services for Dounreay Site Resoration (DSRL) — the firm responsible for cleaning up and closing the redundant nuclear site in the north of Scotland.
