Sub dues

Letters

I was surprised to read that such a large number of ICE subscriptions remained unpaid as late as June last year (NCE 11 October). The delay in revenue collection caused by these late payers must place a noticeable squeeze on Institution cash flow.

However, if late payers are to be asked to take a more professional approach to paying their subs, then what news of changes to the Institutions method of collecting them? My experience, and that of many others, is that subscriptions paid on time - by any method - are usually not banked for several weeks after their receipt. Some members may not be worried by this delay but many of us have to manage our finances very closely.
