Stingray of light

Letters

Heartiest congratulations to all involved in the exciting concept and trialling of Stingray (NCE 19 September), the perfect antidote to the ever-more dubious justification for the use and proliferation of nuclear energy, and the perfect riposte to the visual problems of windfarms.

Siting of the 'clusters' could be interesting, given the tendency of any kind of obstacle to attract silt and the possibility that Stingray's oscillations may emulate the action of a vibrator and push it into a yielding sea bed.

Please keep us informed of the progress of this superb innovation.

J D Mortimer (M), 98 Edge End Lane, Great Harwood, BB6 7QD
