Steel Construction Institute

Five student awards for steel design were presented in London last week in a scheme sponsored by Corus and organised by the Steel Construction Institute. A team from Birmingham University took the bridge design category, Sheffield scooped the tubular steel award, the structural steelwork prize went to Bristol, the piling category to Glasgow and the architectural student award went to an entrant from Sheffield University.
