Engineering, materials and environmental consultant Stats has launched Stats Geophysical, a new geophysical services division providing a comprehensive service in the design, execution and interpretation of geophysical surveys for ground and structural investigations. The firm uses state of the art software for data storage, real-time interpretation and report presentation. The firm recently carried out electrical resistivity imaging of geological structures in Shropshire, electromagnetic surveying for 'lost' WWII air-raid shelters in London, radar mapping of reinforcement in ground slabs in Leicester and searches for ground beams behind tunnel linings on the Victoria Undergroundline in London.
