Start polishing Cooling Prize papers

ENTRANTS FOR the British Geotechnical Association's 34th Cooling Prize Competition for young engineers have two months to submit entries.

Candidates should submit their papers of no more than 2000 words by 31 December.

Finalists will be selected from written submissions and the winner chosen on the strength of presentations at the Cooling Prize Competition event on 20 February 2001.

Prizes include a £200 cheque (sponsored by GE), a cut-glass decanter and BGA sponsorship to the 2001 European Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference.
