Stansted Airport eliminated from Best of the BCI Awards poll


STANSTED AIRPORT Terminal, winner of the 'Supreme Award' back in 1991 is the second of 13 stellar civil engineering and building projects to be eliminated from NCE's Best of the BCI Awards readers poll.

The poll is to help the British Construction Industry Awards judges select the best project of the past 20 years. The best civil engineering and building project will be honoured with a special award at the gala awards dinner in London on 10 October 2007.

The 11 projects still in the competition are: Cardiff Bay Barrage, Channel Tunnel Rail Link, Second Severn Crossing, Jubilee Line Extension, Sizewell B Power Station, City of Manchester Stadium, Channel Tunnel, Eden Project, Tate Modern, HM Treasury refurbishment and Broadgate phases 1?4.
