SPOILS OF WAR: Serbia's state owned consulting, contracting and utilities companies are to be privatised from the end of next month, opening opportunities for British firms to establish a central European stronghold. The Serbian government has also prioritised firms for privatisation, said independent legal consultant Zoran Mitic.

The government hopes to have transferred all nationalised businesses to the private sector by mid-2005.
