Speed rail line between Beijing and Hong Kong

The south Chinese city of Wuhan is hoping that its new railway station will double as a local landmark. UK architect Weston Williamson is one of seven designers shortlisted for the project, which is to be built as part of a planned high speed rail line between Beijing and Hong Kong. Approaches to the nine platform station will be elevated on viaducts to carry tracks over numerous valleys, lakes and rivers surrounding the city.
