South East success in 26th ICE golf competition

South East ICE members triumphed at the 26th Thomas Telford Trophy national team golf competition, hosted by the Glasgow & West of Scotland Branch at Western Gailes Golf Club in Ayrshire last month.

West Midlands were the runners-up, with Wales Cymru in third place.
The team competition was first played in 1986 and is contested by teams of four invited from the 16 local associations of the Institution.

ICE President Peter Hansford attended the tournament dinner and presented the prizes to the various winners.
In his short speech, he emphasised the importance of the Civil Engineers Club in promoting social and sporting activities amongst civil engineers in events such as the Thomas Telford Trophy.
