SOM mistake

Letters

Skidmore Owings & Merrill - not Arup - is responsible for architectural and structural engineering work for Broadgate Tower (NCE 26 January). The work includes 201 Bishopsgate and the plaza areas surrounding the buildings.

SOM has a long history of involvement in Broadgate, as the architects and structural engineers for Phases 6 to 11.The 35-storey Broadgate Tower, and 13-storey steelframed office building at 201 Bishopsgate are the final pieces of the Broadgate jigsaw Arup is involved in the project as a traffic and wind consultant to SOM. We are proud of this project and appreciate the opportunity to correct the record.

Graham Wiseman (F) and Ronald Johnson (SE), Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, 1 Oliver's Yard, London EC1Y 1HH
