Solution specialist

Buchan has developed a reputation for providing innovative solutions on technically demanding projects. The company says its head office design facilities in Cheshire use the most advanced computer aided design software. Its three precasting factories use computer controlled batching and distribution systems to ensure tight quality control and efficient fabrication.

Drawing on its wide on site construction experience, Buchan has developed a range of products designed and manufactured for ease of assembly. Its precast concrete product range includes tunnel sections, stadium components and framed buildings. All of its factory engineered concrete is designed in accordance to BS 8110 with a minimum structural design life of 50 years.

Its precast modular building system means the main load bearing structure of a building can be erected very quickly. Once foundations are laid the precast wall, floor and roof units are simply lifted into place. They are structurally connected by insitu concrete stitched joints. As soon as the panels are secured, follow on trades can commence. This considerably reduces overall construction time.
