Soil treatment facility gets the go ahead

Consent has been granted for construction of a new soil treatment facility in Ware in Hertfordshire.

Biogénie Site Remediation and Biffa Group will work in joint venture to develop the site to help meet demand for processing of hazardous soils in the south east to avoid the cost of landfill tax.

The Westmill facility will have an annual capacity of 60,000t and enable the restoration of the adjacent Biffa landfill site.
