Smart idea

Letters

Regarding Eurocodes, there are a few ideas which might help a little:

1. British government to pay BSI to make all these codes available as pdf files to British firms for a reasonable annual subscription.

2. Separately, BSI to offer an annually-updated compact disk containing all those which a civil engineer needs, again at a reasonable cost.

3. NCE to devote one or two pages per week to tutorial articles.

4. Hold informal local seminars to split the task of assimilation between firms.
