Swedish contractor Skanska has hit problems on Hong Kong's Strategic Sewage Disposal Scheme. The company is struggling to stem water ingress of about 860litres/min on a 740m section of a 3.2km long tunnel and a 10m zone of fractured rock is hampering progress. Completion date has been moved back from August 1999 to mid-2000.
