Skanska to build Heron Tower

Skanska has won the contract to construct the 242m Heron Tower in the City of London.

Demolition of the existing buildings is already underway, with the main construction works due to start in January 2008. The project is scheduled for completion during the first quarter of 2011.

Designed by renowned architects Kohn Pederson Fox, Heron Tower is a multi-occupied building with its 46 storey's rising to a height of 202m. At the top of the building sits an elegant mast giving an overall height of 242m.

Client is the Heron Tower Property Unit Trust.
