Six facts about... Martin Heath

1 Martin Heath has joined Halcrow as head of development planning for transportation for the private sector in Scotland.

2 Heath also sits on the Homes for Scotland technical and infrastructure sub group and has established an international reputation in the traffic and road safety sectors.

3 Heath is widely published and a regular conference speaker at home and abroad. He will present a paper on Road Safety Audit as an Access Management Strategy at the TRB 87th Conference on Access management, Washington USA in January 2008.

4 He is a visiting lecturer on the CPD programme at Aston University in Birmingham.

5 Heath undertook a review of the A5 and its strategic role in Northern Ireland’s Strategic Road Improvement Programme. He also led the transportation team that developed transport infrastructure for Cambusmore Development east of Aviemore. The project included a review of potential capacity implications at the B970/B9152 junction.

6 He was also the technical director at Mott MacDonald in Scotland between 2005 and 2007, where he established and led the transport planning team.
