SIX BIDDERS have been officially short listed for the programme management contract for the construction of London's Olympic Park.
It is understood that Arup/ Gardiner & Theobald, Mace/ Deloitte Touche, Amec, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Capita Symonds/ KBR and Bovis Lend Lease received official notification from the interim Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) last month.
The interim ODA is run by the London Development Agency before the official ODA is created in spring 2006.
The LDA refused to confirm the identities of the front runners.
Those on the final list will submit requests for proposals in mid November ahead of submitting final bids in January.
Interviews for those that will run the $4.32bn project are expected to take place in February, with the interim ODA making its appointment in March.
The redevelopment of the Lea Valley site in East London includes major landscaping and environmental clean-up work, removal of overhead power lines and the construction of 46 footbridges.
. The London Development Agency has appointed independent procurement adviser Nigel Shaw as procurement director for those Olympic projects expected to start before the ODA is officially created.
