Site for Wycombe Wanderers stadium

A preferred location has been announced for the construction of a new 20,000-capacity stadium for Wycombe Wanderers FC and rugby team London Wasps.

The site at Booker, Buckinghamshire, has been revealed by Wycombe Sports Developments Limited (WSDL) as the preferred location for the development.

Plans released through WSDL show that the new stadium would be at the centre of a sports village in Wycombe Air Park. An athletics facility, cricket ground, racquets centre and football pitches would be among the other features.

Facilities for education and training will help complete the development along with the possible inclusion of new commercial space, a hotel and residential development.

“Having looked at the property requirements we would need to deliver the full potential of the scheme, we are now clear that Wycombe Air Park at Booker is our preferred site. It has the size, location, topography and combination of attributes that would best enable us to progress our vision,” said WSDL director Mark Rigby.
