Shout about your trenchless triumphs

ice news

HAVE YOU done something amazing in trenchless technology in the past year? Do you feel the need to be rewarded for your achievements?

Then put yourself forward for a UK Society for Trenchless Technology (UKSTT) Award.

Trenchless construction is the science of installing, repairing or renewing underground pipes, ducts and cables using minimum excavation, or 'nodig' techniques.

Entrants need to submit a 1,500 word report in one of four categories: pipeline renovation, new installation, tunnelling or innovation. Innovation can include underground mapping, tracking devices, new materials or safety equipment.

A young engineer award is also up for grabs with the chance of winning a trip to an international conference.

Closing date for entries is 13 February. For further information contact Peter Madigan (020) 7665 2235. The award ceremony takes place on 26 March at the Imperial Hotel, Blackpool.
