Self propelled concrete spraying unit

Underground news

A self propelled concrete spraying unit has been released by Swiss firm Sika's Aliva division.

The SikaSprinter is road approved for the whole of Europe and is particularly suitable for tunnel work. It has a 5m 3-23m 3AL278 concrete pump delivering a thin and dense stream of wet concrete.

The spraying arm is the AL307 which can handle tunnels from 3m diameter to 16m. A trailer carries an AL285 concrete spray unit with 9m 3-21m 3/hour output. Remote operation via radio control is possible and the machine has a cable reel giving 100m range.
