Scottish rail engineers called to check damage

News

Scottish rail engineers were called on to check for damage caused by flooding or by fallen trees, utilities poles and pylons after last week's storms brought chaos to train services. There was also major flooding on the West Coast Main Line near Carlisle. No major damage has been reported, said a Network Rail spokeswoman.
