Scottish Executive finance minister adds to support

The Scottish Executive finance minister, Tom McCabe has added his voice to support for a magnetic levitating (Maglev) train link between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The minister's backing comes following endorsements from the leaders of Glasgow and Edinburgh City Councils, who have promised funding for a feasibility study. McCabe said the railway, which could make the 70km journey possible in under 15 minutes, would bring economic benefits of about £500M a year.
