Scotland's three water authorities

Scotland's three water authorities - North of Scotland Water, East of Scotland Water and West of Scotland Water - officially merged into one last week, forming the new authority Scottish Water. Over the next five years, Scottish Water will be spending £2bn on refurbishing water mains, new sewage works and water treatment plants.
