SARTOR roadshow

THE INSTITUTION of Civil Engineers will next week publish its revamped membership policy to fit the Engineering Council's new SARTOR requirements.

Plans will be launched in London on 12 October.

This will be followed by a touring conference over the next few months, starting in Sheffield.

Council approved the new routes to membership documents on 15 September. Pilot road shows have already been held in Manchester, Belfast and Cambridge. Employers will have to start revising their training agreements next year, in preparation for the new reviews which will be introduced from spring

2000.

14 October - Maidstone

15 October - Chester

20 October - Glasgow

28 October - Peterborough

2 November - Ipswich

23 November - Bristol

24 November - Plymouth

25 November - Eastleigh/ Southampton

8 December - St Albans

15 December - Swansea

14 January - Edinburgh

18 January - Aberdeen

20 January - Liverpool

2 February - Kegworth
