Sainsbury's second chance for students

GRADUATES AND students are invited to a special meeting with ICE's new President Roger Sainsbury on 4 November at Great George Street, the day after he takes up office.

Sainsbury will repeat his presidential address specifically for young engineers. Graduates & Students National Committee's new chairman Shona Cooper will also be on stage for her inaugural address. Both will field questions.

The idea of a second presentation came from Sainsbury's recognition that the audience at the ICE for the presidential address (set this year for 3 November) tends to be packed with more senior members of the profession. Sainsbury hopes that an additional meeting will give younger engineers an opportunity to concentrate on topics that are most relevant to them.

No advance booking is necessary. Those wishing to meet the new President are welcome to tea from 6pm at One Great George Street. The meeting starts at 6.30pm.
