Rugby New Year debacle: a case of passing the buck

Perhaps we should learn something from your astonishing story about the Rugby rail New Year Debacle.

Apparently Network Rail cannot be blamed because it was the fault of Bechtel; Bechtel cannot be blamed as it was its contractor, Jarvis, to blame; Jarvis has said that the workmen who were missing should have been provided by Oracle Global agency.

Perhaps the lesson is that it is about time that Network Rail operates by using its own in-house staff resources and it should expand those resources accordingly.
