Rude awakening


Gazing at the cover of NCE this morning while boiling my egg, my mind spontaneously toyed with responses to the question there addressed: Why engineers love skyscrapers.

The normal selection of possibilities idly offered themselves: Fees, metaphorical high-profile, fees, repetitive design, fees, straightforward parameters, fees. . .

When spreading marmalade on my final slice of toast, however, I arrived at page 20, where The Green Bird rendered all other responses redundant. Don't worry girls, its just a 'boy thing'; we'll grow out of it!
