Royal Haskoning to rebuild Aceh

Royal Haskoning has won an $8m (£4m) contract to rebuild infrastructure on the tsunami-hit Indonesian island of Aceh
Under the Infrastructure Reconstruction Enabling Programme (IREP-2) contract, Royal Haskoning will carry out planning, design and supervision of the construction and reconstruction of roads, bridges, harbours, water and waste purification facilities and coastal defences on the west coast of Aceh.The IREP-2 contract is managed by the Indonesian government agency BPR and part financed by the Multi Donor Trust Fund - the agency coordinating international aid for the reconstruction.The contract is one of the first to be won by Haskoning Asia Government Sector Consultancy - a new operating company of the Royal Haskoning Group that focuses on winning projects from international financing agencies in Asia.
