Rockslide kills three in China

A rockslide in Guizhou Province, China, has killed at least three people and injured one, according to media reports.

The landslide occurred at Erlang Village in Xishui County and caused debis to cover a major road that links Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, and Zunyi City in Guizhou.

Search and rescue teams have been mobilised and are working through the debris which is thought to have a volume of 80,000m3.

The cause of the slope failure is as yet unclear.
