Road improvements

Improving the environmental performance of the existing road network should be a much higher priority for government, according to a new report published by the British Road Federation. Based on research carried out by Hyder Consulting, Old roads to green roads suggests that a combination of low noise road surfaces, noise barriers, tree planting and other small scale measures can have a dramatic effect on the local environment at relatively low cost.
