RJ McLeod scoops £31M flood scheme

Glasgow-based RJ McLeod has won a £31M flood defence scheme in Scotland.

The contractor will deliver the Selkirk Flood Protection Scheme for Scottish Borders Council.

Six firms had been shortlisted for the project to protect 600 homes.

Main construction works will begin in January, and complete by the end of 2016.

Scottish Borders Council executive member for roads and infrastructure Gordon Edgar said: “The announcement that RJ McLeod has been selected as the successful tenderer is another big step forward for the flood protection scheme and the town of Selkirk.”
